The pre-processing technology of the injection mold also has a certain impact on the polishing. In the process of cutting the mold steel, the surface layer will be damaged by heat, internal stress and other factors. The cutting speed and feed rate must be ensured to be relatively uniform, so that it will not affect Export mold polishing effect. EDM surfaces are more difficult to polish than ordinary cutting or heat-treated surfaces, so you should perform EDM trimming before finishing the EDM, otherwise a hardened layer will be formed. If the selection standard is not appropriate, the depth of the burnt hardened layer can reach 0.4mm. The hardness of the hardened layer is higher than that of the steel body, and it must be removed as much as possible to lay a good foundation for the subsequent polishing process.
